Neurodiversity Week

What an incredible week we had at Mosaic celebrating Neurodiversity Week! It was truly inspiring to see all our children embracing and sharing their differences, learning about what makes each of us unique, and celebrating the wonderful diversity within our school community.

Throughout the week, our classrooms were filled with exciting activities designed to help our children understand and appreciate neurodiversity. From our our whole school fun run to creative arts and crafts where children were set the challenge to create posters celebrating different neuodiversities, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the week was our assembly, where parents and staff spoke about their own unique ways of thinking and learning. It was wonderful to see so many pupils confidently asking questions and sharing their own experiences, whether it was how they saw the world differently, how they learned best, or the incredible skills they had developed because of their neurodiversity.

We would also like to congratulate all the children, parents, and staff for raising a phenomenal £1,394.87 through the fun run! This is a fantastic achievement, and we are so proud of everyone who took part and supported the event. Mrs Brown and the school council will be coming together to choose a charity to receive half of the funds raised, while the other half will be used to enhance the SEN provision in our school—ensuring even more support for all our wonderful learners.

A huge thank you to Mrs Brown our SENCO for making this week possible and to our dedicated teachers, staff, and parents who helped make this week such a success. Most importantly, a massive well done to all of our children for their enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to share and learn. Neurodiversity Week truly reinforced the message that every mind is unique, and that was what made our school so special.

Let’s continue to celebrate and support each other every day – because at Mosaic, we knew that our differences made us stronger!
