Following our interview with the Department of Education we have been very busy researching many aspects of the model that will make our school. This research includes visits to schools who share our vision so that we can consider the different ways that a school can incorporate Jewish practice. This research has also helped identified ways to integrate Jewish education into a school with a variety of religious backgrounds.
We have also held a number of meetings for the volunteers who are helping to develop strategy across the project and raise much needed funds. We were fortunate enough to secure a meeting with Dr Helena Miller, Director of Research, Evaluation and Living Bridge programmes at UJIA. Helena shared her experiences of Jewish faith-based schools and facilitated a discussion on integrating a Jewish ethos and practice into a cross communal, pluralist Jewish school.
If you’re interested in what we learned from the meeting then please get in touch and we will respond to any questions.
