Charities

Healing the World

Each year, Mosaic choose two charities, one linked to the Jewish faith, and one non-faith based, to support and raise money for. This links to two of our school's values, Tzaedakah (Charity) and Tikun Olam (Looking after the world). For this year, Miss Cohen selected the charities below as they both hold a special place in her heart.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London and Hertsmere.

Our mission is:

  • to provide care and support for children and young people from birth who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Our aim is to enable them to live full lives and to achieve their aspirations

  • to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible while their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement.

Since September, through different charity events, for example, Hamantaschen cake sale, we have raised a great amount of money for Noah’s Ark which will help support the charity in it’s journey.

Ohel Sarah is the only organisation in central Israel that provides continuous services to hundreds of people with learning disabilities, from the age of 6 until end of life. We offer education, employment and housing and help our students reach their potential, increase their independence and acquire crucial life skills.

Our approach is unique in that we seek to integrate our students into mainstream society, while backing and supporting them throughout their lives.

Due to the school’s closure, many of our charity events that were aimed at raising money for Ohel Sarah have had to be cancelled. Once the school is open, we will continue our drive to raise as much money as we can for this charity.
