During the next two days we will be celebrating the festival of Shavuot (Festival of Weeks). We will be remembering the time the Torah (the bible) was given on Mount Sinai. It is traditional to eat dairy foods, especially cheesecake, and to learn Torah. What could be a better time to announce ten_commandments_large_webthat Mosaic Jewish Primary School has appointed a class teacher?

We are delighted to share with you that Katie Barton is Mosaic Jewish Primary School’s Reception Class Teacher.  She is currently a Reception Class teacher at Sparrow Farm School in Feltham where she has been for three years. She has a highly creative background, having read Drama at Bristol University and worked within theatre-in-education.  She also has substantial training in health and social care from The University West of England and believes that this positively impacts on the welfare of the children in her class.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys creative pursuits.  She is a published poet and was recently chosen to write a short play for children, as part of the Kingston Heritage Project.

Katie is Jewish and emphatically believes in Mosaic’s ethos of respect, inspiration and excellence and actively encourages all children to value all religions and cultures.cheesecake-300x199
