How old does my child have to be to go to MJPS in 2019?
The same rules apply as for any other Wandsworth school – if your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 they are eligible to start in a primary school Reception class in September 2019.
What age does the school go up to?
The school is for children aged 4 – 11 years (Early Years Foundation and Key stages 1 & 2). MJPS had a single form intake at Reception in 2013 and 2014. From 2015 onwards, the school has had a two form Reception intake until we are fully populated from Reception to Year Six in 2019.
Can I apply for my older child too?
If you have a child eligible for Years 1-5, and we have a place, you can apply.
What about my younger child/children?
The Admissions Policy states that children will be admitted in the following order of priority where there is oversubscription:
1. Children looked after and those who ceased to be children looked after because they were adopted, or because they became subject to a residence order or a special guardianship order.
2. Children with a professionally supported exceptional medical need or exceptional social need for a place at a particular school, as decided by the Governing Body (please refer to note 2 of the Admissions Criteria for more details).
3. Brothers and sisters of children on the roll of the school on the date of admission (for a definition of siblings, please refer to note 1 of Admissions Criteria on the website).
4. Children in order of straight line distance from home to school as measured by Wandsworth Council’s Geographical Information System.
