A special moment

Our wonderful week of firsts, last week, culminated in a number of guests joining us to help us put up Mezuzot on all our external doors.

Hebrew, mezuzah actually means “doorpost”

The mezuzah is a piece of parchment with specific verses from the Torah. It is often placed inside a mezuzah case, which is then affixed to the doorposts of a Jewish home.

The children enjoyed helping one of the visiting Rabbis to measure the door and calculate a third of its height.
